SATURDAY, September 12th: Venzulean Menu by Chef Cristian

Cristian is originally from Venezuela and is proud to share the vibrant flavors and traditions of his home country with the Spokane community through Feast World Kitchen. His menu features Venezuelan favorites, including traditional arepas and other dishes inspired by the food he grew up enjoying with family and friends. For Cristian, cooking is a way to stay connected to his roots while sharing a piece of Venezuelan culture with others. Please schedule these meals *only* for Saturday September 12th, for lunch (11-2) or dinner (4-8)! We assume pre-orders are takeout, but feel free to write "dine in!" on the pickup notes if you'd like us to plate your food and save you a table. Walk-ins also welcomed! Note: due to rising costs and lower amounts of grant funding available for supporting refugees and immigrants, we've made the decision to include a 10% nonprofit operations fee with each food purchase. This fee directly supports Feast's program costs; the revenue from your food purchase goes to the chef family of the day.

SUNDAY, September 13th: Uganda Menu by Chef Angel

Born and raised in southwestern Uganda, she grew up in a culture where meals were about much more than food—they were a time for laughter, connection, and community. After moving to the United States, she went more than five years without enjoying Ugandan food, believing the ingredients she needed weren’t available. When she eventually discovered that many of those familiar ingredients could be found here, she was excited to reconnect with the flavors of home.
