A Taste of Turkish Cuisine, Sept 22, 630 PM

A flavorful introduction to the rich and diverse world of Turkish cuisine, presented entirely vegan. The evening begins with a selection of traditional mezes and appetizers, including creamy tarator, vegetable-filled şakşuka, and Antalya-style piyaz, alongside homemade börek, fresh salad, and lavash. A warm bowl of Turkish red lentil soup follows, leading into vegan İskender — a beloved Turkish classic featuring döner-style pieces served over bread with tomato sauce, vegan butter, and a creamy yogurt-style sauce. The evening concludes with homemade vegan baklava and traditional Turkish tea, bringing together the flavors, warmth, and hospitality of a Turkish table. From the Chef: "Hi, I’m Berna! I’ve been vegan for the past two years, and I’ve loved cooking ever since I was little. I currently run a vegan bakery at a local 2nd Street Market, where I get to share my love for food with our community. I enjoy exploring and cooking dishes from cuisines all around the world, but this time, I wanted to bring something especially close to my heart — vegan Turkish food."
